Description

Lynne Griffiths - Arts and Cultural Development Across the Adelaide Hills
6:30 – 7:30pm Thursday 7 June

The Adelaide Hills is well known as a destination for the Arts with a growing number of artists and arts practitioners living, creating and delivering Arts of all forms. From visual artists to literary and performing artists this growing creative landscape delivers a rich and vibrant element that enriches our communities and often reflects place, heritage and community values.

Lynne is the Community and Cultural Development Officer with the Adelaide Hills Council. This session will consider the growth of the Arts in the Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Hills Council’s role in supporting the Arts in our area.

We will look at the exciting new project to create an Arts and Heritage Hub at the old Onkaparinga
Woollen Mill site in Lobethal, initiatives in place-making and community art and the Arts Action Plan that will guide our future activity in this area.

***Attendees are invited to join the speaker for dinner at the The Scenic Hotel (Norton Summit) after the talk. If you would like to join for dinner, please select the ticket type "General admission (RSVP dinner)" so that we can make a reservation. Please note that dinner is at your own cost.***

Thinkers of the Hills is offered the first Thursday of the month 6:30pm to 7:30pm May to September.
