Event description

Description

Research shows that play is a critical part of the way children learn. Many families however find that play is harder when their child has a delay or disability. In this workshop, we will explore some new ideas of supporting your child's play and activities and toys that are good to encourage play.

Join us to share new ideas to support your child’s early play. In this workshop, we will talk about questions such as:

- Where does play fit in with the goals I have for my child to be ready for school?

- How do we engage a reluctant player?

- What are the different stages of play and where your child might be on that stage of development (& how to move to the next step)?

- What to do when other children don’t want to play with your child?

This workshop will be facilitated by Margaret Aiken, Early Childhood Intervention Teacher

This workshop will be repeated once per Term through 2020.
