On the back of a series of sold-out Sydney workshops, Matt Cauchi & Joel White are hosting Lauren from theblackline by lauren for a wonderful pre-Christmas pointed pen calligraphy workshop with share plates & drinks in their gorgeous cafe Bloodhound Espresso, Darlinghurst.
Learn the art of lettering and cultivate your calligraphy skills so you can create your Christmas cards or very own love scribble, special place card & quote to frame!
This 2-hour workshop is suitable for beginners and will cover the fundamental basic of pointed pen calligraphy such as assembling and handling pen and nib, knowing your ink, learning basic calligraphy drills and letterforms as well as helping you to discover your own unique style of calligraphy.
Individual materials will be supplied to each participant. All materials supplied are carefully tested and Lauren's personal favourites. You will be able to take home the materials to practice your newfound love of calligraphy.

Lauren Hung is a calligrapher and hand letterer from Sydney, Australia. With a background in fashion design and journalism, Lauren combined her two interests in March 2014 when she launched theblackline by lauren.
Working predominantly with commercial clients, Lauren has completed work for international luxury brands and clients – including TAG Heuer, Bottega Veneta, Tiffany & Co, La Prairie, Swarovski, Spell & The Gypsy Collective, MIMCO, Megan Gale, Williams-Sonoma Pty Ltd, Pottery Barn, West Elm, MAX MEDIA LAB, MAX Connectors, Westfields, Maison du Maillot, House of Airlie, Collabosaurus, A21 Campaign & The Children’s Cancer Institute.
Inspired by her upbringing in Sydney’s flower growing district, Lauren’s work continues to reflect her love of seasonal blooms & fashion through delicate love scribbles curated for dreamers, achievers & world- changers.
