Whether you’re a lover of a strong black or simply fascinated about the concept of coffee, come and be schooled on the art of wood-fired coffee roasting by the Marrickville wood-roasting pros themselves!

From indulging in good-old coffee and learning about the unique coffee-roasting culture that exists at The Wood Roaster, to understanding the intricate and detailed process of curating a specific blend, you’re guaranteed to take-away something from both the experience and uniqueness that is The Wood Roaster. We promise.

FIRED-UP is set to feature four distinct stalls that individually showcases a unique characteristic of The Wood Roaster, from beginning to end:

MORNING/AFTERNOON PICK-ME-UP

A good day (or afternoon) begins with good coffee and why not taste it from the best. Here you’ll be welcomed by a coffee of your choice and is the perfect opportunity to Chai New Things (see what I did there). Fused with the intricate coffee-making skills that can only be found within The Wood Roaster, you’ll taste flavours like you’ve never tasted them before. Simply put, this is a good old-fashion coffee stall that’ll serve a coffee of your choice and for those who enjoy their coffee cold or iced, we can arrange that too!

SPILL THE BEANS

Time to get into the nitty-gritty of The Wood Roaster’s exclusive coffee-roasting process. Here you’ll discover the incredible benefits of wood-roasting coffee, as well as discussing the environmental, sustainable and technological benefits of their processes for both themselves and their consumers. Prepare to step into a world of unparalleled flavours, the world of The Wood Roaster.

GET CUPPED

Prepare your flavour buds for a delicious explosion of flavours to try and review. Here you’ll throw yourself into the realm of coffee blends and investigate how accurately you know your coffee! Additionally, you’ll be offered a first taste of a new blend that is yet to be announced. With blind tastings and prizes to be won, you’ll be sure to love this one!

SMALL BITES

All coffee’d out? - don’t fret, The Wood Roaster work alongside local food producers to create the perfect snack bar full of refreshments and mouth-watering goodies to help keep your taste-buds craving more coffee!

FIRED-UP will run between 2pm-4pm on Wednesday 9th of December and will adhere to COVID-19 restrictions to ensure the day is COVID-friendly to allow you to experience the day stress-free.
