Description

Invertebrates such as insects and spiders are essential components of our ecosystems. So why do so many people insist on killing them?

Presenter Dr Lizzy Lowe will explore the wonderful world of invertebrates and explain how we can help these good bugs survive in our cities.

Dr Lizzy Lowe is a Macquarie University Postdoctoral researcher and urban ecologist and studies the important roles that invertebrates play in keeping our urban ecosystems healthy

No, all are welcome.

What happens if it is raining?

This event will be held indoors.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Gordon Train station is a 5 minute walk from the Council Chambers. There is also free parking in visitor and staff car parking behind the building.

Please note that as this event is after opening hours, the front access to Chambers will be closed.

Please access Chambers via rear entrance on Radford Place via Dumaresq Street.

Enter the building and take stairs or lift to Level 3.

What do I need to bring to the event?

A water bottle and reusable coffee cup will help to minimise our event waste!

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No you do not. There will be a registration list with your name at the event.
