About this Event

Digital is the newest form of infrastructure in NSW, according to NSW Minister for Customer Service, the Hon. Victor Dominello.

Understand the key digital priorities and opportunities arising from the NSW Government’s 2020-21 budget by attending Intermedium’s NSW budget briefing on 23 February 2021.

The 2020-21 Budget outlines the first funding commitments under NSW Government’s three-year $1.6bn Digital Restart Fund (DRF).

Intermedium will be providing its annual analysis of the ICT features of the Budget and an announcement of the results of Intermedium's highly anticipated 2021 Digital Government Readiness Indicator.

About our panellists:

Bruce Thompson is Executive Director Spatial Services in the government of NSW. He is responsible for the State’s geodetic and positioning infrastructure and for its spatial and mapping functions. Bruce has more than 30 years’ experience in the spatial sector, primarily in the Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales governments. He is the Chair of the Australia New Zealand Land Information Council (ANZLIC).

Kathleen Mackay is an experienced executive with a track record of successfully delivering customer and business outcomes. Her mission is to create productive, digitally-enabled workplaces that enable staff to thrive and deliver best in class results.

Michelle Michael is currently the Director, Educational Support and Rural Initiatives for NSW Department of Education. This business unit is responsible for providing state wide implementation and strategic advice in the areas of Rural & Remote Education, Distance Education, High Potential and Gifted Education, English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD), Anti-racism and Multicultural Education, Learning from Home Hub and Online Leaning Tools as part of the NSW Premiers Mathematics Strategy. Michelle leads a large team of forward thinking, pedagogical and technical experts who are committed to preparing all students in NSW public schools to meet the challenges of a dynamic regional and global future.
