Event description

Description

Inviting all yoga teachers and teacher trainees to attend Yoga Australia meeting and CPD Workshop with Rachel Nokes! Rachel will be presenting a Vinyasa model of the 7-step process of learning and teaching.

This model invites us to reflect on the readiness of the teacher to share with the student. It is an empowering model for the student in that it acknowledges the role of the teacher however, emphasises the responsibility of the student. After presenting this model Rachel will invite small group discussion on this process and how you might integrate it into your role as a student and teacher.

About Rachel:

Rachel has been practicing Yoga since the late 90’s and teaching for the past nine years at her home studio, Ray of Light, in Bulli NSW. Following a trip to India in 2006, which changed her life, Rachel completed her teacher training with Katie Manitsas at the then Samadhi Yoga at Newtown in Sydney. Rachel has since built on this initial training with continued yoga training and Ayurvedic studies, both in Australia and in India. Rachel is a Yoga teacher, Yoga thearapist and Ayurvedic practitioner. Yoga and Ayurveda are her life long passion and Dharma. Rachel leads retreats to India and Bali annually, sharing the people, teachings and places that inspire and continue to guide her. Rachel is grateful to all the teachers that continue to guide her on the path.
