The Very Big Bushwalk - Cape Schanck
Event Information
Description
Ever wanted to try a family bushwalk but don’t know where to start or where to go? Keen to meet new people so you can explore your local parks together? Feel like you lack the experience, know how or fitness to complete a walk? Want to find out about accessible walks? Why not join a Parks Victoria Ranger for an easy grade, short bushwalk suitable for the whole family!
To celebrate Premiers Active April, Parks Victoria is hosting the Very Big Bushwalk - a range of short bushwalks held simultaneously at numerous locations around the State!
Join a Parks Victoria Ranger for a family friendly 3km guided walk along the Cape Schanck loop track and then through the Lighthouse Precinct and Museum (no access inside the lighthouse) learning about the history and natural features of this park.
The loop track involves some steps and steep grades and may not be suitable for prams.
Please bring water, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, and wear enclosed shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Also bring your camera!
Please arrive 5 minutes before schedule. The activities will be cancelled during extreme weather events.
Please note that each attending adult and child will need to book a separate ticket for this activity.
