The Tipping Point Film Night: Permafrost of the High Arctic

Treading Lightly with Liz Courtney, Speaker, Author, Film Director in Climate Change and Sustainable Solutions, Winner of the Women of Influence Award 2015, and inducted into the Australian Business Women’s Hall of Fame.
Liz traded her stilettos for snowboots following a strong multi-tiered marketing communications background that fuelled a career in marketing communication, brand strategy, and digital media over the last 20 years. She combined brand/marketing skills with success in producing and directing a range of documentaries over the last 10 years - including her recent Science/Adventure series Youth4planet, Earth’s Survival, and The Tipping Points series, all aimed at educating and mobilizing millions of people around the globe on Climate Change and Sustainable Solutions.
Liz Courtney travelled the planet for 24 months to produce and direct The Tipping Points series, where she lived in The Amazon Jungle, camped on the Greenland Icesheet, dogsled in the North Pole, rafted down the Ganges in India, and sailed across the Drake Passage to Antarctica. The Tipping Points, a 6 x 1 hr series pre launched at Climate Week- a Clinton Initiative in New York and has been released globally in multiple languages, English, Dutch, German, French, Russian and more + includes a special 90 minute theatrical version for ARTE Europe, winning documentary program of the Year in Holland for VPRO in 2014.
Liz is currently writing her first book Changing Shoes: Changing Worlds, has an Imax film in development, and is co-developing a project on Rainforests with the Ecuador Government in 2017.

This workshop is part of the Treading Lightly program, which is a partnership between Burwood, Canada Bay, Inner West and Strathfield Councils. Residents of these council areas will be given priority for bookings.
When booking, please provide the correct information. Without this information, we will be unable to confirm registration to this event. We reserve the right to cancel any registrations with false or incomplete information. Your information will only be used to verify attendance and to contact you regarding your attendance or participation in this program.
If you are registering for more than one person, you must supply the name, contact and home address for each person.
Individuals may register for a maximum of 5 events in each 6-month calendar.
Please note that if you register for the event but find you are unable to attend, you must advise the event organiser as soon as possible and cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event so that places can be offered to others on the waiting list. Non-attendance at events will result in individual bookings being given lower priority booking status. Two or more no-shows in the 6-month calendar will result in the participant being denied first-preference bookings for the following 6-month calendar.
