Event description
The Summer Reading Club - Telling stories with pictures - Discover the art of illustration in this creative workshop!

About this Event

For ages 9 - 13 years old.

Discover the magic of illustrated storytelling, as Aśka shows you how to split a story into pictures that flow together to make a ‘movie’ in your reader’s mind.

There will also be fun tips on how to generate ideas, so that you can create funny, ridiculous and surprising comics and visual stories of your own.

Aśka is an energetic visual storyteller, creator and a science communicator, with over 10 years of experience in children's illustration, graphic design, comics, animation and children's science education.

As well as illustrating children's books, Aśka draws for 'The School Magazine', delivers talks and workshops across WA and is working on many graphic novel ideas.

This is a FREE event.

Our team will be helping all participants to maintain social distancing and healthy hygiene.

Please cancel your tickets or advise one of our team if your plans change and you are unable to attend this event.
