Event description
The Glo project 2019 Workshop 4 - Global consumer culture for Startups

About this Event

The fourth of a series of 7 workshops, delivered every Tuesday night, with the final night on October 8th.

Global Markets and Consumer Culture for Startups going global

Agenda:

Keynote - Global Markets and Consumer Culture

This workshop explores the difference in global consumer culture around the globe. What makes people buy products or services and how do they buy them. How does culture impact the way people support an Australia product in other regions.

We will also explore the diffence between culture and etiquette and why you need to understand more than the etiquette when working through a business transaction.

For our International Students, we will help explain our Australian culture. Why does Australian Rules football make so many Victorians have a day off work in September? Why does "off the hook" and "spanner in the works" mean?

We will share the best ways to communicate in Australia to make friends, and for getting a new job.

We always add some fun to our workshops. This event consistently creates much laughter and joy when a group of diverse people understand why we each do things the way we do!

Q and A with experienced global experts.

Food and drinks will be provided.
