Event description

Description

I have worked closely with fed for a couple of years now and I know from first-hand experience that they are brilliant. If you go to this workshop I reckon you will get enough from it to make the cost of attending back in your next appeal! This team are proper fundraisers who go above and beyond to increase their clients’ fundraising income. This is an unbelievable opportunity to tap into their experience.”

Jeremy Tobias, Giveasy

the small shop fundraising workshop

What is it? An intensive 2-day fundraising workshop specifically designed for organisations with small fundraising programs, looking to grow. Includes 1 overnight stay and all meals included

When is it? October 18th & 19th 2018

How much does it cost? $1,850 per person all inclusive (ex GST though)

Who should attend?

Fundraisers/those responsible for fundraising who are frustrated with the big fundraising conferences and want something more tailored to their individual needs.

Fundraisers/those responsible for fundraising who would love some agency support with their program/next campaign but cannot justify the investment. BRING YOUR CHRISTMAS APPEAL!

Fundraisers/those responsible for fundraising looking to meet with and share their challenges with other fundraisers facing similar obstacles.

Sole fundraisers, fundraisers in small to medium organisations or small fundraising teams who:-

  • Want to start or grow an individual giving program
  • Are unsure how to acquire and manage individual givers
  • Want to have a clear plan of priorities, as well as the confidence to know when to stop doing something
  • Want help to secure investment budget
  • Want the know-how and confidence to increase board buy-in of fundraising goals

What can attendees expect?

Coaching and support from fundraisers who have been at the front line, setting up and managing programs of all sizes, including insights gleaned from rigorous testing, analysis and working with boards. Senior fundraisers who have raised hundreds of millions of dollars, all around the world. Also:

  • To be able to go back to work with a plan for fundraising growth, and a list of immediate priorities (including your next appeal)
  • To be part of a growing network of like-minded fundraisers supporting each other
  • To learn from the experience of the coaches and your co-attendees and nut out solutions to real, current fundraising problems
  • Time away from the day-to-day noise to ensure that the focus moving forwards is entirely on income generation

What does it look like?

fed’s founder and director Jonathon Grapsas will be joined by colleagues with expertise in data driven direct response, specifically with a focus on recruiting and retaining donors for organisations of all shapes and sizes, regardless of budget. As a team, we will work with you through a combination of real examples and case studies, workshops and discussions all designed to help you grow your organisation’s income.

The workshop will be limited to a maximum of 15 participants. We want to be sure that everyone’s needs are met and that’s why we are keeping the numbers low – we want you to leave with a plan that is tailored to your organisation’s needs.

FAQs

Q. I can’t make those dates – will there be another one?

A. If there is the demand, YES!

Q. It seems expensive....

A. The price includes accomodation, all comestables and three times the value in terms of consultancy support. The FIA conference is $1,849 just to attend (not including accomodation, flights, meals, the gala or a masterclass). So, we think its pretty good value. If you come and you dont agree, then we will refund you.

Q. Can I bring my colleague/board member/staff member?

A. Absolutely – working with someone else in your team through the two days will mean greater value for your organisation. Unless you hate each other. That would just make it awkward for all of us.

Q. Does that mean I get a discount if I book more than 1 ticket?

A. I’m glad you asked that! You do get a discount of $200 per ticket. Please choose 'multi'as the ticket option

Q. Can I stay a night before or enjoy the weekend at the venue after the course?

Oh, what a great idea! Please contact the venue directly to see if they have availability http://www.clearmountainlodge.com.au/

Q. Can I bring my support animal?

A. Vision support animals are allowed at the venue

Q. Is the venue accessible for my particular needs?

A. Please email sara@flatearthdirect.com so that she can discuss your requirements with you directly before you book

Q. What should I bring/wear?

A. Once you register we will send you a registration pack via email with everything that you need to know. This will contain a questionnaire about you/your organisation so we can better understand where to direct our support, an agenda for the 2 days, some pre-conference work and directions. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in – no dress code required.

Q. We don’t do any individual giving – should I still come?

A. Maybe! We may uncover some potential within your organisation to get one going and given how it has been a key area of income growth over the last 20 years, you should definitely consider one as part of your program. But call Sara on 0424655118 and have a chat to see if it's for you before you register?

Q. I won’t be able to get my organisation to fund this – what do you suggest?

A. We suggest you ask again – make a business case for it. Show the decision maker the value of getting 2 days of agency support at a fraction of the normal cost - and considerably cheaper than the big conferences which don’t help on such a granular level. Tell them that you will be able to articulate exactly what your priorities will look like when you get back.

Q. Does this workshop give me PD points?

A. We have no idea – we just know that we will be doing our best to give you some realistic and achievable advice

Q. Can I cancel last minute and get a refund?

A. Um, no. Whilst we understand that unforeseen circumstances can hit us all out of the blue, a last minute change is not possible - As soon as you book your ticket, your place is confirmed – but we may be able to come to some arrangement if we still have a waiting list. Please call Sara on 0424 655118 to discuss
