About the 15th Reteng Rinpoche (A Tibetan Living Buddha)

Reteng Rinpoche was born in Yushu, a Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. At the age of 14 he was identified as the re-incarnation of the 14th Reteng Living Buddha by the 6th Reshen Khutugtu Rinpoche and later recognized by the 11th Panchen Lama. In his youth, Reteng Rinpoche studied advanced Buddhism at the Sera Monastery, one of the three prestigious Buddhism institutions in Tibet and was educated in the Geluk School of Buddhism.

Reteng Rinpoche is actively engaged in social welfare and charity. He is the founder of a Tibetan hospital, a nursing home and an orphanage school, all of which are charitable organizations and provide free services. He also travels and teaches in China and abroad, guiding his students in adapting Buddhism wisdom into modern lives. His words, virtuous deeds and extraordinary application of Buddhism have become the source of inspiration and empowerment for many people.
