The Second Draft
What happens after your first draft is written? Learn about editing, publishing, and beyond. This workshop will cover:
A basic primer on how to think about editing, and the importance of editing
How to write a pitch, blurb, and synopsis
How to find an agent, publisher, or decide to self-publish
How to make a business plan, think about your goals for writing, and overcoming coming barriers to writing.
The workshop will be focused on genre fiction (including romance) and has practical exercises for participants to work on their own ideas. Leave with a pitch and blurb for your own novel, and a realistic plan for how to align your writing with your publishing goals.
NOTE: This event is one of two workshops presented by Queensland Writers Centre on this date. If you wish to attend both events, purchase a ticket to 'Writing Romance and Genre' first and use the discount code provided in your booking confirmation email to access $5 off the price of this workshop.
