The Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls can be used as an adjunct offering within personal training sessions, stretch, Pilates, dance classes, wellness coaching, yoga, massage therapy, or with kids and special needs populations.

This training equips you to:

  • Maintain your body and prevent injuries using self-care strategies with the Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls

  • Identify bony landmarks, muscular attachments, and fascia geography to enhance your teaching and personal daily practice.

  • Deepen your understanding of pain physiology and how to use the Yoga Tune Up® Balls to erase pain.

  • Lead classes through step-by step, proven, whole-body exercises, approved by physical therapists, pain medicine specialists, and chiropractors, that can affect positive changes in the rotator cuff, spine, neck, jaw, hips, IT band, calves, and feet

Use this training to learn strategies for your own health and maintenance, or incorporate YTU Therapy Ball sequences into your teaching toolkit by introducing embodied anatomy concepts to your students.

ABOUT YOUR TRAINER:

LEE-ANNE HERON, ND, ERYT, YA Expert Teacher Designation, TRMM Teacher Trainer

Lee is based in Perth, Australia and enjoys delivering workshops, teacher trainings and retreats worldwide as well as providing CPE for allied health industry at university campuses, health clinics and birthing centres and is on faculty for International Yoga Teaching Trainings as expert Anatomy & Physiology teacher. With over 16 years in clinical practice as a naturopath (specialising in women’s health and fertility) and a yoga practice that predates this, Lee has much anecdotal experience to share. Lee encourages teachers and trainees to challenge research and teachings, to question students (never assuming we know how our students feel) and to always listen to the answers and observe the bodies we are guiding. She provokes teachers to consider purpose and function of what we teach and how we can view different bodies as individuals to assist guide every student to a meaningful practice. Expect every class, workshop or training to share a vast toolkit of tests, languaging, modifications, alternate asana, mindfulness, yoga tune up®, myofascial release, proprioception, interoception processes to assist our teaching to guide our students to an embodied and empowered practice on the mat and beyond.

With qualifications including BSc(Nat), Adv Dip Nat, Dip Herb Med, Dip Hom, Dip Arom as well as a broad range of manual therapies including Acupressure, Shiatsu, Thai Yoga Massage, The Roll Model Method®, Yoga Tune Up®, Myofascial Meridians in addition to her Yoga Certifications (see her ERYT page), Lee is passionate about inspiring others to consider our unique skeletal variation, body proportion, tensions and compressions, physiology of breath in our own practice and in guiding others to a mindful practice.

Lee has studied yin yoga with its founders Paul & Suzee Grilley and is featured in their upcoming Anatomy of Yoga video filmed in LA in 2015, and has assisted over 500hrs with Senior Yin Yoga Teacher Trainers and is a certified Yoga Tune Up® Roll Model Method Teacher Trainer who has subbed teaching workshops for Jill Miller (the founder of Yoga Tune Up®)and loves to share her passion for both Yin Yoga and Yoga Tune Up®.
