Thursday 14th September 2017
12.00pm – 2.30pm
Next Generation, War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide

As you know, The Repat Foundation – The Road Home funds research that improves the health and wellbeing of veterans, emergency service personnel and their families.

At the Annual VIP Luncheon we look forward to taking you through the latest news on the new programs and critical research currently underway to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for current ADF, veterans, emergency personnel and their families.

At the lunch you will receive an update on the following areas:

- The future of specialist mental health services for veterans and emergency service personnel, planned for the Jamie Larcombe Centre

- The four new exciting research grant announcements and what these projects hope to achieve

- The new Road Home Wellbeing Program to support servicemen and women and their families’ transition from service and/or injury to the next stage of life through a peer support program and wellbeing activities

You will also hear from guest speakers Professor Roger Eston – Uni SA Head: School of Health Sciences, Elaine Waddell – Flinders University researcher, Wade Roberts – air force technician who beat advanced bowel cancer and is on his way to the Invictus Games this year and Brendan Hardman - a decorated Army Captain who is on the road to recovery from his injuries of service.

The Road Home continues to raise awareness and funds to support health and wellbeing research into conditions such as Post-Traumatic Stress for the nation’s veterans and emergency service personnel and their families.

Through your support this work can continue in the research, treatment and care for those who have served or are serving now and need support, understanding and medical research to change their lives for the better.
