Description

The power of things - Object-Based Learning and the Flinders University Art Museum Academic Scholars Program Pilot – Fiona Salmon, Catherine Kevin, Michael Baigent and Jackie Wurm; external partners: Vicki Reynolds, Fiona Sherwin (AC Arts / TAFE SA); Heather Gaunt (The University of Melbourne)

The FUAM Collections are a vast and unique intellectual asset. They comprise Australian and International holdings including more than 8000 works. Highlights include a nationally significant collection of Aboriginal art, a rich body of European prints spanning the 15th – 20th centuries, Australian political prints and posters and ‘post-object’ works. This project with internal funding from Flinders and the Office of Learning and Teaching is motivated by the aim to promote this asset as the pedagogical resource it represents and to see it better integrated into the Flinders culture of teaching and learning.
