Event description
Through storytelling we will explore the things that influence the choices people make after childhood and remain physically active.

About this Event

Hosted by Logan Together & Nature Play Queensland

Through storytelling we will explore the things that influence the choices people make after childhood and the motivation that drives them to remain active and participate in specific recreation activities.

The storytelling will focus on understanding how people become physically literate through outdoor play.

The PD will provide time for groups to discuss potential developmental gaps in the children that they work with through the lens of the four main tenants of physical literacy.

Learning outcomes:

- Develop a shared understanding of physical literacy for the community active partnership program.

- A personal understanding of what it means to be a physically literate adult and how you got there.

- Develop an understanding and process of how to identify physical literacy gaps in childhood development and how to record these gaps.

- Understand the role of the adult in enabling children to develop some physical literacy through play and in particular to meet developmental gaps.
