The Write Here! Festival is a Writepad program part of a Lake Mac Libraries initiative that will deliver a range of author visits, literacy programs and opportunities for local writers.

Having recently returned from a year living in the US, Candice Fox is full of inspiration, and used her time to co-write two novels with James Patterson, both set for release this year, and Gone by Midnight.

Barry Maitland’s first mystery The Marx Sisters was a nominee for the John Creasey Award for Best First Novel. His latest book The Promised Land is the thirteenth in the Brock and Kolla mystery series.

Barry Maitland was born in Scotland and brought up in London. After studying architecture at Cambridge, he practised and taught in the UK before moving to Australia where he was Professor of Architecture at the University of Newcastle. He has since retired from the university to pursue his writing.
