Event description

Description

Do you ever feel embarrassed in front of the camera? Do wonder if you are speaking loudly enough for students to hear? Do you have to re-record your lectures or briefings for students? Do you hide your face or use a photograph instead of a video?

The Performance of Teaching: Creative, Engaging and Effective Presentations Online workshop seeks to empower participants to own their online presence in terms of engaging students and having a high impact on student learning.

Barbara Warren, from Dramatic Difference Training, has teamed up with staff in the University to design a bespoke session. It is not just about outputs, it is also about inputs - all the talent you bring. We are going to have some practical stuff too, such as how to make your technology work. Unfortunately cameras are going to be around on the day because we live in a digital world, but we are not using any footage afterwards (so don't be afraid). More information including video resources and practical tips is available from the School of Education Website.

All welcome including Masters and HDR students. Please register for catering and communication purposes. Note that an identical workshop is running in Hobart on the 8 November.

Thank you to the Career Development Scholarship committee and to CALE, AMC, SET, University College for financial support of these events.
