Event description

Description

The 23rd UNFCCC Conference of Parties (COP23) is taking place in Bonn in November with the main order of business being advancing the work on the Paris Agreement Rulebook, including its provisions for carbon markets. With key positions on markets, private finance and increased ambition being debated, the decisions made will have implications for Australian business decision-makers, climate policy leaders and private sector investors.

The Carbon Market Institute invite you to join us for our annual pre-COP event to hear from a panel of experts on the opportunities and impacts for Australia as a result of the implementation of the Paris Agreement two years on.

Moderator:

  • Bianca Sylvester, General Manager, Carbon Market Institute (Moderator)

Panel Speakers:

  • Megan Flynn, Group Manager - Environment & Carbon Strategy, Qantas Airways
  • Elisa de Wit, Partner & Head of Climate Change, Norton Rose Fulbright
  • Emma Herd, Chief Executive Officer, Investor Group on Climate Change
  • Andrew Grant, Chair, Carbon Market Institute

The session will include an audience Q&A and will be followed by a networking lunch. Places are limited and registration is essential.

This event is organised by the Carbon Market Institute, and will take place immediately after the Institute's Annual General Meeting (held at the same venue). For more information on either event, please contact Brad Kerin at brad.kerin@carbonmarketinstitute.org.
