Event description

Description

This two day workshop will give you an opportunity to work with different techniques for use in collage, painting and design. Experimentation will include spray dyeing, painting, mono and block printing with sgraffito using acrylic paint with glass, perspex, found objects or simple potato cuts.

Participants will start by working on a drawing or design and progress to implementing different techniques to develop your own art work over the two days. Vivien’s aim is to encourage and enable you to develop and refine these techniques so they may be incorporated into your own art practice.

Vivien Haley studied Sculpture and Printmaking at the National Art School in Sydney. Initially, she exhibited with the Sculpture Society at The Rocks but over the last decade she has been exhibiting with Stella Downer Fine Art. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics and interpretations of nature, Vivien's work reflects the landscape and it's subtle colour palette and organic design. Working as a sculptor, textile printmaker and artist, her practice has continued for some 30 years exhibiting in both private and public galleries throughout Australia. If you would like to check out her work you can click on the following link https://vivienhaley.com.
