The Modern Generation's New Wave Fest

The Modern Generation presents "The New Wave Fest" , a fundraiser by the youth for the Australian Marine Conservation Society.

Enjoy a fun-filled day to both educate and entertain your entire family. Have the opportunity to learn about ocean conservation and reducing our waste from experts with our information booths and volunteer lead workshops. As well as a talk series by young change-makers, sharing their passions, perspective and experiences.

Sit back and listen to sensational live music featuring some of Queensland's most talented youth performers including: String duet, Folk band, Jazz vocals, ukelele band, musical theatre hits, concert jazz band, rock band, classical singing and so much more! Other fun activities include art galleries, yoga and a raffle. Food will also be available to purchase at the venue.

Even if you are living too far away from the venue and you cannot attend the event, you can still support our fundraising drive by purchasing tickets as a donation to The Australian Marine Conservation Society.

One event-ticket is equivalent to one raffle entry, and additional raffle tickets are available to purchase at the venue. Prizes to be announced very soon!

All proceeds will be donated to the Australian Marine Conservation Society and help protect our oceans.

Time: 10 am - 3 pm (Gates open at 9:30 am)

In case of the possibility of an event cancellation due to COVID-19 restrictions or severe weather conditions, 100% of ticket sales will be donated to The Australian Marine Conservation Society regardless of whether the festival takes place or not. This means that your ticket is NON-REFUNDABLE even if the event is cancelled.

This is an alcohol and smoke free event.

Please stay at home if you are unwell, or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath. If you develop symptoms at the event, please notify event volunteers immediately and isolate yourself. We are a COVIDSafe Event - please respect the rules, keep us all safe, practice social distancing, and wash/sanitise your hands regularly.
