Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

In the late 1920s and early 30s, Zora Cross interviewed her fellow women writers for the popular magazine the Australian Woman’s Mirror. Without her entertaining profiles, there would be little trace of these writers — Myra Morris, Llwelyn Lucas and Kathleen Dalziel among them — in literary history or biography. These three dozen interviews appear in the Mirror alongside flapper fashions, home remedies, and articles on ‘women of the world’. Join Cathy Perkins for a lively glimpse of the Mirror’s writing women.

Hosted by Inner West Cultural Services.

Proudly presented as part of the History Council of NSW’s Speaker Connect program for History Week 2017, supported by Create NSW.
