Event description

Description

A fun, hands-on workshop that will introduce you to Macro Photography!

Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Instructors: Craig Franke and Seng Mah
Maximum participants: 25

THIS EVENT IS PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY DIGIDIRECT CANNINGTON

Have you ever wanted to understand macro photography and learn how to shoot great images of the macro world? Then join Craig Franke and Venture Photography Workshops for a mini-workshop that will open up a whole new world to your photography!

The Mini Macro Workshop is a practical introduction to understanding how to best shoot macro photography with a dedicated macro lens. You'll learn about the differences between shooting in true macro vs close-up and get the chance to try out the techniques you have learned by shooting a range of subjects macro-style!

We'll start with an information-packed presentation that will show you what differentiates macro from other types of photography. Find out what real macro photography is about and learn all about how you can capture amazing detail using your macro lens. Then, you will get the opportunity to shoot a range of intersting subjects macro-style, using different lighting and techniques to consolidate what you have learned.

You'll have a ball discovering a whole new world in the amazing macro-verse. Places in this mini workshop are limited to 25, so book early to avoid missing out!

Complimentary print voucher
Thanks to Digidirect Cannington, everyone who books into this mini-workshop will also receive a $50 print voucher to be redeemed at the photo lab at Digidirect Cannington.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Your interchangeable lens camera
  • A dedicated macro lens (eg. 90mm macro, 105mm macro etc)
  • Notebook and a pen

You don't need to bring a tripod to this workshop.

This workshop is suitable for interchangeable lens cameras with manual controls (P, A/Av, S/Tv and M modes) including DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. Point and shoot compact cameras are not suitable (even those with a "Macro Flower" mode -- that mode isn't a true Macro mode).
