The Medicinal Garden
Event Information
About this Event
This workshop is all about your health, and how your garden can support your health. Kate will cover not only the herbs we know are useful, but ones we didn’t know, and of course she will cover those fabulously medicinal wild herbs – weeds! Kate will even cover some of our garden favourites that can be put to good use in the medicine chest. Bet you didn’t know geranium leaves make excellent bandaids? This 1 hour workshop will give you some useful information to help you care for your health without leaving the garden.
All workshops are held in Kate’s garden in Yeronga and will run for 1 hour. Please bring a water bottle, note pad and pen. Although the workshops will take place under cover, you may wish to walk around the garden and therefore may also want a hat. Kate has a free gardening community library at her place, so feel free to bring along a gardening book or magazine you no longer want and exchange it for another.
Bookings are essential as numbers are very limited. All workshops will have a limit of 10 participants only. $25 per person per workshop.
The Mosaic Paver workshop will run over 2 x 1 hour sessions on 2 separate days. Please ensure you are able to attend both before booking. This workshop is $85 per person with a maximum of 6 participants.
If you are keen to participate but the time or date does not suit you, please advise Kate. If enough people request a different time it may be possible to run additional workshops.
