Can fashion, textiles and objects worn on or near the body be an agent for change? Can making be a political act?
The Matter at Hand exhibition showcases the work of 22 current and graduate RMIT students exploring the act of making and social change. The exhibition explores the relationship between contemporary design and current social issues.
Join us for The Matter at Hand forum discussion, featuring a panel of artists and designers, facilitated by Sigrid McCarthy (Ethical Clothing Australia) and including Leyla Acaroglu (Eco Innovators), Ilka White (Textile and Visual Artist), Valerie Mack (HBA/DIA) and Claire Beale (DIA/RMIT).
