The Lost cities of Alexander

Alexander and his general, Seleukos Nikator, were said to have founded some 90 cities, most remain "lost" Australian archaeologists are now uncovering another of these remarkable foundations, perched high on the cliffs overlooking the Euphrates River.

 

Speaker: Dr. John Tidmarsh

President of the University of Sydney's Near Eastern Archaeology Foundation and a former lecturer in the Department of Archaeology.

 

This event is part of the Conqueror Talks

          Includes cheese wine and entry to exhibition
