Event description

Description

“You can’t stay away from this place. It’s your home." Ben, Australian Graffiti

Join us at Sydney Theatre Company as we step behind the scenes of the new Australian play Australian Graffiti ahead of its world premiere. Developed through the Lotus Playwriting Program, an initiative of Contemporary Asian Australian Performance and Playwriting Australia and supported by the Girgensohn Foundation, and commissioned by Sydney Theatre Company, Australian Graffiti follows the journey of a Thai family looking for a place to belong as they take their restaurant from one country town to another. Playwright Disapol Savetsila, director Paige Rattray, STC Literary Manager Polly Rowe, cast and creatives discuss the journey from page to stage of this remarkable new Australian work.
