The lab is structured into three phases:

Phase 1: A strategic look at how to develop cohesion

This phase will provide insight into:

  • The concept of Cohesion through the interrelationship of team members;
  • How structure and shape can hinder or help the development of Cohesion;
  • How skill is perceived within the market place and how its true impact is misunderstood;
  • Why a lack of access to talent can be an advantage;
  • How the development of skill is related to Cohesion within a work environment; and
  • Why resources and facilities are overemphasised with respect to success.

Phase 2: What to focus on with your team once they are in place

This phase will cover:

  • The two essential drivers of high performing teams;
  • Eight options to focus on to improve collaboration and alignment;
  • The power of language within a team setting;
  • What a meaningful relationship looks like in today’s workplace; and
  • What leaders need to do to over and over to create clarity across their teams.

Phase 3: Self Assessment and Q&A

This phase will:

  • Help you identify your bright spots and flag gaps;
  • Gain insights into what actions you can take to make a difference in your teams; and
  • Allow participants to share thoughts and pick the brains of your hosts.

About your Instructors

Canadian Adrian Baillargeon has been called many things, including a behavioural consultant, a team leadership coach or your biggest supporter. Whatever you want to call him, you will struggle to find someone as passionate as Adrian to help organisations make meaningful progress through the power of their people.

With over 17 years of corporate experience in financial services (health insurance, travel insurance, general insurance), brand management, pharmaceuticals, and oil & gas, Adrian Baillargeon has worked in marketing, sales and JV management teams across Canada and Australia. He also somehow ended up in Tunisia and Cameroon coaching for Major League Baseball.

Now a speaker, facilitator and coach, Adrian helps organisations and individuals do the “together” bit better, inspiring them to collaborate effectively, learn quicker, make better decisions, reduce team dramas and say things sooner.

Australian Ben Darwin established GAIN LINE Analytics after more than a decade of involvement in professional sport. As a player, Ben played at an international level for the Wallabies and represented the ACT Brumbies in Super Rugby. Ben has considerable experience in coaching, player development and analysis. This includes a variety of coaching and performance analysis positions with the Western Force, Melbourne Rebels and in Japan with NTT Shining Arcs and Suntory Sungoliath.

Driven by a desire to introduce a greater degree of empirical analysis into professional sport, Ben started GAIN LINE Analytics in 2013. More recently, Ben has been working with corporate organisations to apply analytic measurements to help create cohesion strategies at the executive level to drive sustainable success. As a hands-on founder, Ben is involved at every level of the business, whether it be developing predictive models, presenting research findings or consulting with clients.
