The Kerry Lodge Archaeology Project 2015-2018 examines the archaeology of incarceration and unfree labour within the mid-19th century British penal colony of Tasmania. The art project brings together 9 contemporary artists to explore connections to the past of the Kerry Lodge convict barracks site.
CURATOR DR. KAREN HALL is a lecturer in theory at the Tasmanian College of the Arts, University of Tasmania, and curator of the Kerry Lodge Art Project. Her research interests revolve around how the past is reimagined in the present.
