Event description
Now more than ever, leaders have a vital role to play in promoting and protecting positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

About this Event

COVID-19 has drastically impacted the mental health and wellbeing of all Victorian workers in different ways - whether it's because of sudden unemployment or underemployment, job insecurity, strained relationships, working remotely or losing social interaction.

Now more than ever, leaders have a vital role to play in promoting and protecting positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. In this session you'll hear from Assoc Professor Tony Walker ASM, CEO of Ambulance Victoria. As a passionate leader advocating for positive workplace mental health, Tony will share the importance of addressing the work related factors that can create a mentally healthy workplace.

Tony will draw from his experience on how Ambulance Victoria was able to increase the focus and awareness of mental health across the organisation creating a culture in which mental health is discussed openly, and how this culture significantly improved the number of staff and their families accessing services to support their wellbeing.

Full conference details are available on the Health and Safety Month website.
