Description

Come and explore the mysteries of the healing arts in their many guises and discover the benefits of nurturing your mind, body and spirit. The Healing Arts is a series of FREE sessions (except for the Long Table Lunch $35 person) and is part of the Armadale Arts Festival 2019. It welcomes people interested in creative and alternative practices that promote wellness, healing and personal change.

Bookings are essential.

The Friday night event (May 10th 7pm to 9.30pm) is open to everyone and provides an opportunity to meet others involved and interested in local healing arts activities. Opening event panel Q&A discussion moderated by local Textile Artist and alternative healing enthusiast, Helena Pollard. The panel will introduce how some of our local healing practitioners approach the topic of natural healing through their modality.

On Saturday May 11th at Waterwheel Gallery and Saturday May 18th at Minnawarra House you can experience a range of FREE (Except for Long Table Lunch at $35 per head) healing arts sessions including Sound Healing, Art Therapy, Tai Chi, Kinesiology, Breathing and relaxation, Drumming, Sand Play Therapy, Textile Art, Pottery, Fun Kids activities and more.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Waterwheel Gallery - There is ample parking at this venue.

Minnawarra House - There is ample parking at this venue. Public transport options are available. Bus routes between Armadale and Kelmscott train stations: Please check for services on May 18. Transperth Journey Planner.

Usually these are the bus routes with a 7 minute (normal speed) walk from the bus stop to Minnawarra House. Walk map from Bus stop to Minnawarra House

BUS 243 – every hour (half hour at peak) BUS 244 – once every two hours BUS245 – every 30 mins all day

What should I wear?

Activities marked with an * after them require participants to wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat. If you don't have a yoga mat then please let event organisers know as we may have some spare mats to loan you.

Activities with a # after them require participants to wear suitable clothing or wear an apron in the case that you get dirty.
