About this Event

Honouring Dharug Country.

Nura (Country) speaks. She’s life, ceremony and songlines.

Join us on site to connect with community through being, art, culture and ceremony as we bestow the opportunity for the artist to speak and show us her natural artistic beauty. Experience the art installations and listen as the Dharug Custodians and artists share the pre and post-colonial history and subsequent colonisation of the site. Nura (Country) speaks. Hear the plans for her future.

Please note: Light refreshments provided. The space is open and uneven in places. Weather can be unpredictable at this time and there is limited shade. Please come prepared with a hat, sunscreen and a reusable water bottle.

Gulbangali Dharug Nura is a long-term strategic partnership between Dharug Strategic Management Group Ltd (DSMG), Blacktown Arts and The Biennale of Sydney to reclaim Dharug cultural practices and memorialise the First Stolen Generations through site-based arts and cultural programs on the Blacktown Native Institution site.
