Description

Count the Bats and Help the Park! To manage one of the largest urban bat colonies in Sydney, our rangers have to know the size of flying-fox population and monitor population trends.. That's why, they need to count them. Get your family together and join our volunteers. You will be in groups headed by an expert volunteer who will show you how the bats are counted. An amazing hands-on experience.

What will you do:

- hear fascinating facts and stories about one of the largest urban bat colonies

- Help to count the bats

- Enjoy a beautiful afternoon in the park

Time: 4.30pm – 5.30pm (sunset 5pm)

Meeting Point: Spruce Goose Food Truck at Duck Pond

Price: Free (registration via website

Cancellation policy: Once tickets are purchased no refunds, exchange or credits will be given, unless the event is cancelled by the Parklands due to dangerous conditions.

Special notes: This program is a popular family program so please book early to avoid disappointment. Bring a torch and dress warmly.
