and with all the members joining in some raucous singing this ragtag team of rapscallions will melt your troubles away and make sure your glass is always half fool.
Gus Leighton - Saxophone Gus Leighton is a contemporary saxophonist, arranger and composer who is making a name for himself on the Australian music scene as a hardworking, passionate musician who brings unbridled energy and enthusiasm to any project he is involved in. Gus is proud to be a representative artist of Bari Woodwind Inc. and Syos Saxophone Mouthpieces
Mathew Olivier - KeysMathew Olivier is one of Hobart's most in-demand keys players as he brings a profound sense of creativity to every group he is involved with (and there are a lot!). Mathew can be heard playing alongside Uncle Gus and The Rimshots, The Gus Leighton Quartet, Tai Harlii, Kudu Joy, Silver Fleet Ships, Los Chicos Bonitos, Boons Oliver Church and many others. Mathew's original work can be heard through his project Poshi which recently released an EP titled Forgo.
Aleks Folvig: Guitar Aleks Folvig is a freelance guitarist and guitar teacher based in Hobart, Tasmania. While Aleks has a background in jazz, (graduating from UTAS in 2020 with a Bachelor of Music w/Hons.) he performs a wide variety of styles and regularly performs with groups such as Art School Bullies (ASB); The DK Effect; Uncle Gus and The Rimshots; The Sasha Gavlek Quartet; Austin; The Wholly Cats; Kat Edwards, and other performers around Australia.
Sasha Gavlek - Double Bass Sasha Gavlek is a contemporary bassist hailing from Hobart with a love for alternative jazz, & a passion for exchanging culture and musical knowledge between fellow peers and audience members. Whilst producing original works within her alt-jazz quartet, Gavlek additionally performs regularly in Hobart and across the state as a part of local bands such as Uncle Gus and the Rimshots, The Gus Leighton Quartet, and Kudu Joy. Gavlek aims to encourage young, upcoming musicians in their craft, and aspires to incorporate jazz into a variety of contemporary genres to create exciting new musical performances.
Lawrence Churches - Drums Lawrence has established himself on the Tasmanian music scene as one of the state's tightest,’ most versatile and reliable drummers. Lawrence's performance history boasts frequent performances alongside local jazz saxophone extraordinaire Gus Leighton, (releasing two albums with the 'Gus Leighton Quartet') as well as the ABC award-winning Big Band 'Kelly Ottaway’s Modern Operative’. Additionally, Lawrence can be heard performing regularly with soul singer-songwriters Mia Palencia and Jay Jarome. Lawrence also had the opportunity to drum for Eurovision finalist Dami Im at the 2019 Festival of Voices Big Sing Bonfire in Hobart. After returning from recording an album under multiple ARIA award-winning producer Greg Walker in Melbourne – Lawrence finds himself in high demand in Hobart’s ever-expanding music scene.

Terms and Conditions of Ticket Sales and Venue Entry
The following terms and conditions will apply to purchased tickets for events held at West Winds Community Centre, Woodbridge, Tasmania. Tickets entitle the holder to attend the event at the date, time and location stated on the front of the ticket and/or selected at the time of purchase through official sales channels.
By purchasing a ticket, the buyer and/or the holder agrees to the following:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALES AND ENTRY
1. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that all details are correct at the time of purchase especially the event name, date, time and location. The ticket/s may not be exchanged, refunded, or returned except in accordance with Australian consumer Law.
2. If the event is cancelled, the purchaser is entitled to a refund by contacting the event organiser within five (5) business days from the date that the event would have been held.
3. Tickets purchased from third party resale sites may not gain you entry to an event, as we cannot guarantee that the ticket/s will be valid.
4. By purchasing ticket/s you are agreeing that the official sales channel may send you emails or SMS messages relating to the event to which you have purchased ticket/s. Your contact details will not be disclosed for any other purpose unless you are in agreement.
5. The right of admission to the event is reserved including where entry is delayed for late arrivals, is refused, or where a customer is asked to leave the premises.
6. Food and alcohol not purchased at the venue will be refused entry.
The above terms and conditions are consistent with Australian consumer Law and the Live Performance Australia Code of Practice.

At West Winds we would like to reassure you that our doors are open and our aim is to keep everyone who enters our community centre COVID safe.
Please be assured that we have up to date information and COVID-19 Safety plans in place.
When you enter West Winds you will need to:
- Sanitise your hands.
- Wear a facemask correctly at all times when inside, unless you have a medical exemption.
- Keep your distance from others and adhere to room capacity numbers.
Please remember to stay home if sick or identified as a close contact and get tested if you have symptoms as consistent with Tasmanian Public Health advice.
