About this Event
The global pandemic has got us thinking about the future.
Join us in this new fortnightly series where we explore the cracks in our systems and how we can all make positive changes in the way we live, learn and play.
Each episode, creative thinkers will join award-winning journalist Santilla Chingaipe to discuss their brave and bold future state ideas, ranging from television to politics.
The series will be streamed live on State Library Victoria’s website and made available after each event as a video and podcast.
Thursday 10 December: The future of futures (part two)
According to academic and futurist Bridgette Engeler, now is the time to start designing for life in 2040.
Bridgette is a pracademic working across design, innovation and culture. She believes the way to prepare for futures is to understand how to navigate and make sense of uncertainty, and to use strategic foresight to create better futures in the long term.
In this episode, we hand it over to you. Bridgette returns to answer your burning questions, imaginings and provocations about the distant future off the back of her recent discussion in The future of futures (part one).
Join the conversation by sending your questions on Slido before and during the event.
