An event to discuss the future of stormwater with some of our committee members followed by networking. FREE for Stormwater QLD members!
About this event
Stormwater Queensland presents a return to physical events with this exciting panel session, FREE for our members. With limited capacity, there are 50 tickets available for members only, ‘in person’, in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Members outside of the Brisbane area are invited to register for a virtual ticket and will be invited to send questions through prior to or during the event.
Non-members are invited to register for limited virtual tickets for a fee but why not just become a member instead?
The event will be highly interactive, with a selection of current Stormwater Queensland committee members sharing their thoughts, followed by Q&A and discussion with attendees. Light refreshments will then be provided and members are encouraged to mingle with their peers and meet colleagues face to face, perhaps for the first time!
The topic of the day will be ‘The Future of Stormwater Management in Queensland’, discussing the current state of our industry and changes needed to meet the challenges of the future. Topics will cover:
• Stormwater’s role in climate change and the ‘race to zero’
• Emerging contaminants
• Key barriers to best practice stormwater management
• Possible changes to stormwater-related policy and legislation
• Developing the next generation of stormwater professionals
The event will be facilitated by Stormwater Queensland President Katie Fletcher (Arup).
Panelists are all Stormwater Queensland committee members including:
- Courtney Henderson (AECOM)
- Himanthi Mendis (Mott McDonald)
- David Simpson (Retired from Brisbane City Council)
- Ben Penhallurick (Healthy Land and Water)
- Brad Dalrymple (Ocean Protect)
