Håkan Eriksson
Chief Technology Officer, Telstra

Håkan Eriksson joined Telstra, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company, as CTO in February 2017.

Håkan is focused on guiding Telstra in establishing a leading position on priority technologies, driving value through advanced technology and capabilities, accelerating business and cultural innovation, and driving collaboration across the organisation.

Prior to joining Telstra, Håkan had a long career at Ericsson, where his key appointments were Group CTO Ericsson and CEO Ericsson Australia and New Zealand.

David Hart
Chief Executive Officer, Dematec Automation

David Hart is the CEO of Dematec Automation. After commencing his career with a special purpose machine builder for the manufacturing industry, he has since spent nearly twenty years in automation companies in roles progressing from system engineering and design, through to project management, and more recently in business management.

David is intimately aware of the challenges that SMEs face in the changing economic and technological landscape, having spent his entire career both working in SMEs and delivering projects and services to SMEs.

Martin Hablutzel
Head of Strategy, Siemens

Martin Hablutzel is the head of strategy for Siemens Ltd, working along the electrification value chain from generation, transmission, distribution and smart grid to the efficient application of electrical energy through automation and digitisation.

Martin began his career at the (then) Hydro Electric Commission in Tasmania, joining Siemens in 1997 as a protection and control engineer.

Subsequent roles have given Martin broad exposure to the deployment of electrification, automation and digitalisation in diverse industries including utilities, resources, infrastructure, transportation and manufacturing.

Nico Adams
Programme Lead Industry 4.0 & Digital Transformation, Data61 & IMCRC

As a programme lead for Industry 4.0 in the Innovative Manufacturing CRC and senior research scientist in CSIRO’s Data61 business unit, Dr Nico Adams works to assist Australian (manufacturing) companies to leverage modern information technology, the industrial internet and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Through deep industry consultation, he has developed an understanding of how manufacturing companies think about the role of ICT in their businesses.

Based on insights gained through this process and work from across CSIRO and engagements with external stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, he develops products and services designed to lift the digital and innovation capabilities of companies.

Steve Dowey
Technology Manager, Sutton Tools

Dr Steve Dowey is the Technology Manager at Sutton Tools and a Senior Research Fellow at RMIT University working with the Australian Defence Materials Technology Centre.

His current projects include ‘Additive Manufactured Tooling’, ‘Tooling for Robotic Applications’ and applied ‘Industry IoT’ in collaboration with DMTC.

His Industry 4.0 focus is on the ‘The Smart Enough Factory’, where the issues of legacy systems (cost), security and STEM skills are addressed to ensure the benefits of Industry 4.0 can reach the Australian SME.

Mark Goodsell
Manufacturing Director, Ai Group

Mark Goodsell has over 30 years’ experience in the Australian manufacturing industry, seeing first-hand how the sector has adapted to policy changes, and shifts in the operating environment.

He has played a big part in advocating for manufacturers including in regulation, and innovation and skills policy.

Mark also manages the Australian Advanced Manufacturing Council

This is a free event hosted by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Entrepreneur's Programme in collaboration.
