On the 9th October 2016, the world lost someone extremely special to not only the music community, but to his closest friends and family who loved him very dearly. It was on this day that after struggling with depression for many years of his life that this horrible illness finally became too much for him to endure any longer, and he departed this world so he could be at rest in a more peaceful place.

Fergus David Edward Miller, best known to the music world as Bored Nothing, was not only an incredible songwriter, but also an incredible human too. His friends and family adored him dearly due to not just his loving nature, but his twisted sense of humour, quick wit and amazing ability to craft songs about the lives of his friends and family and make them sound absolutely amazing.

His music was a collection of stories about love, heartbreak, anger, relaxing with friends, cartoons, pizza, beer, going to the shop to buy food and waking up to find something in a bathtub that definitely should have been located in a toilet. Fergus wrote about anything and everything and managed to turn the most simple of stories into amazingly well-crafted songs that touched the heart, the soul and generally your sense of humour.

His output was prolific. Song after song after song would be churned out like it was no effort at all for him since the age of 11, and they were all pure musical genius. As soon as you would hear one of his songs, 5 more would pop up a few days later. He was always so incredibly creative.

The reason for this event you ask? His music was his life. So what better way to celebrate the life of such a talented musician as well as an amazing human being, than live music from some of his favourite local artists at one of his favourite live music venues in Melbourne.

So, please join us for this benefit show and help us raise money in the fight against depression. With your help, we can raise funds so the people who are feeling the dark icy grip of depression can get the help they need, so that they may continue to be loved by their friends and family for many years to come! We never want anyone to have to go through this ever again!
