Event description

Description

Primary school teachers often tell us of their need for more support to create consistently effective science learning. This workshop has been designed to train and equip primary educators to design and deliver awesome science programs that directly address the new science curriculum with easily accessible and cost-effective materials.

In this hands-on workshop, participants move through a variety of proven experiments that teach students how to engage with the scientific method effectively. Educators learn how to identify and test variables, as well as the best ways for students to construct fair tests that are meaningful. All participants will learn how to build their school's capacity in science teaching by exploring a series of school science kits built from household materials.

The Epic Experiment is fun, engaging and full of real science that will inspire and excite teachers (and, in turn, their students).
