After an unconventional young woman, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, successfully ghostwrites a novel for her husband, their marriage starts to disintegrate, and she yearns to be able to able to find her own voice. Deciding to pursue a career as a writer, Colette challenges several gender norms along the way of her artistic journey.
