John Silvester and Andrew Rule have led a life of crime: reporting Melbourne's rich criminal underbelly including its gangland wars.
They co-authored the Underbelly series of true crime tales, and their long-running ‘Naked City’ column in The Age provided a gritty, forensic and always entertaining look at both sides of the law.
Silvester continues to write for The Age while Rule is now an associate editor and senior writer at the Herald Sun.
In our last Edit showing for the year, we bring you an early Christmas present: an opportunity to chat with two local journalistic legends.
The Edit is open to young and early career journalists. Tickets are $15, and include a free drink and snacks.
Who can attend The Edit events?
The Edit is the Melbourne Press Club's dedicated forum for young and early career journalists. These events are open to all working journalists in the first ten years of their career.
Any questions – email convener Ashlynne McGhee at firstname.lastname@example.org

What if I have dietary requirements?
The Edit events change venue from time to time. We provide a selection of snacks at these events and always try to have some vegetarian options on hand.
