John Hughes’ first book, The Idea of Home, won the 2005 NSW Premier’s Award for Non-Fiction. His second book, Someone Else: Fictional Essays, won the Adelaide 2008 Festival Award for Innovation and in 2019 his novel ‘No One’ was shortlisted for the 2020 Miles Franklin Literary Award.

Join us at Eden Library to hear John talk about his journey as an author, how his love of reading lead to writing and what inspires him to continue.

CANCELLATIONS

Our events often book out. If you are unable to attend, please let us know before the event so we can allocate your spot to another person.

You can cancel your ticket up to 24 hours before the start of an event and have your ticket fee refunded. To cancel, log into Eventbrite using the email you used to purchase your ticket. Cancellations will incur a small Eventbrite booking fee. Events cancelled by us will not incur a cancellation fee. or email library@begavalley.nsw.gov.au

Occasionally, we need to cancel an event due to insufficient bookings or unforeseen circumstances. If we need to cancel an event you will be notified via email or telephone and your ticket fee will be fully refunded.
