When the producers of the SBS program "Struggle Street" announced their intention to take the show to Inala, it resulted in a public backlash. In response, we plan on engaging the media with an event that will promote another side of our community.
The Community Cup will be a family-friendly and community-focused event that aims to promote positive representation of Inala. Revenue from the Naming Rights Investor will be used for seed funding; revenue from registrations and other event-related fundraising opportunities will contribute to the development of the Project Mentor program.
You don’t have to be into volleyball to get something out of The Community Cup. It’s going to be a fast-paced experience that doesn’t just involve regular volleyball. With our “Tri-Ball Arena”, we’re giving people a rare chance to play three-sided volleyball so be sure to check that out. The elimination rules in place may be intense, but we have competitions open to both serious and casual players so you can play at whatever pace you want. There’s more to the event than just playing the game, though. Get social over some food and pick up merchandise on the way to the prize. Entry into the Cup is open to anyone, so put together a team of 6-10 people and register ASAP!
However, if you can't find enough players for a team and would still like to be involved, register as a single, and join one of our wild card teams. Hurry though, places are limited.
