// There is no light without the darkness…

A uniquely original take on the Circus & Musical Theatre genres, the Carnival of Lost Souls tells the tragic tale of unrequited love and loss, set amongst the mayhem and splendour of a late 1800’s Circus.

Featuring some of Australia’s best physical entertainers, musicians & singers, and backed by a highly emotive original score performed live by PLATONIC, the audience is taken on a mystical and atmospheric journey into the dark heart of a vintage Circus fraternity where nothing is as it seems.

From the breathtaking thrill of world-class acrobats, jugglers, magicians, aerial and carnival performers to the deeply-moving musical soundscape and songs, the underlying tale of desire and betrayal plays out amidst the colour and spectacle of the classic Circus big top.

This lavish production with its stunning Victorian Gothic & Steampunk inspired costumes and period lighting design evokes a magical world where the line between life and death, heaven and earth, is confused and blurred.
