The business of blockchain and the agricultural use case
Tue. 18 October 2016, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm AEDT
Join us for a curated series of blockchain talks. Hear directly from the people creating the future. Each week we feature a different early stage blockchain startup.
Our fifth and final event for this series is: The business of blockchain and the agricultural use case
Forget about technical deep dives for a moment and the proliferation of bank and finance uses cases!
This workshop is about Full Profile’s journey with distributed ledger technology/blockchain and about blockchain from a business/commercial perspective by reference to the Ag Industry and the use case we are developing for agricultural supply chains. This includes the financial and provenance discussion as well as an exploration of regulatory impacts and opportunities peppered with my own observations as a start up co-founder.
Our speaker: Emma Weston
Emma is the CEO and co-founder of Full Profile, a provider of software solutions that bring transparency, efficiency, and trust to agri-commodity supply chain management. Emma has had a diverse career as a lawyer, agribusiness executive, business coach and entrepreneur. She is also a grain grower and is passionate about the power of agtech.
We’ll be providing drinks and snacks. Whether you’re looking for an inspiration, a new project or investment ideas, there will be something for everyone! Stay tuned for more details on our speaker lineup.
