Description

Retired army reserve infantry lieutenant colonel, military historian and battlefield guide, Peter Sweeney, gives insight into the Japanese bombing campaign that brought the Pacific War to the Australian mainland and inflicted civilian and military casualties, damaged military installations, sunk ships, destroyed aircraft and wrecked infrastructure.

Japanese air raids ranged across the north of Australia. From Learmouth and Broome in WA, Darwin and the Adelaide River in NT across to Townsville in QLD from February 1942 to November 1943.
