THE BEDROOM PHILOSOPHER
Comedic jazz-cat The Bedroom Philosopher (Songs From The 86 Tram) returns for a rare two-show purr-formance. He’ll celebrate his back cat-alogue by playing every song that mentions a cat, while dressed as a cat. It’ll be Cat Stevens versus Cat Power with Kitty Flanagan by a whisker. Enjoy an intimate evening with this witty meowstro.
The Bedroom Feline-of-fur is best known for his Triple J hit ‘Northcote (So Hungover)’ which is the Khe-Sanh for hipsters. He won the Directors Choice award at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and made his debut appearance on Spicks & Specks seven times (repeats). As Justin Heazlewood his book ‘Funemployed: Life as an Artist in Australia’ was published in 2014. His latest album ‘Funemployed LP’ is on Spotify which keeps him in cat biscuits.
“He is so hip, he’s absolutely not hip at all.” Amanda Palmer.
"A daggy, sexy and acerbic hurricane of whimsy." - Sydney Morning Herald
