Born in the Republic of Mancunia and known to his brethren as Yemi 'The Cat' Akinpelumi, this two legged feline branded himself XS.if when he discovered the heavy beats of hip hop as a youngster. With his eclectic mix of tunes and an impressive vinyl collection in his lair, he loves to get the party started and share his infectious good vibes. Expect to hear everything from hip hop, funk and soul to Afrobeats, Latin, Nu-Disco and Electro-Swing – you’ll need some stamina to keep up with his amazing energy.
It's Funky Disco that moves this funky soul and I am going to play it. A one to three hour all vinyl journey of select wax, through soul, funk, disco, Afro jazz funk beats, boogie funkin disco from all over the globe. I play a unique mix of 'Discoteque Eclectique' for your listening pleasure. Music in all forms will move you, the warmth from the uncompressed sound of vinyl makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my soul, I hope it does the same to you while you're shaking your rump.

Junya's ears and musical tastes were initially exposed to the early 90's jazz infused hip hop. An explorer at heart, this lead to a musical journey into the foundation heart strings of black music, Jazz, Funk and Soul. What unravelled from there was an appreciate of all good music with a beat and a groove. Be it soundscape, atmospheric disco to folk, latin and rock. Taking the lead from NY House and parties such as Body & Soul.. Junya's appreciation of music is open, not easily categorised or bound by genres. Expect the unexpected. But expect to be taken on a musical journey beyond the genre sphere… expect to move and be moved. Plays Soul, Disco, Funk and House.
Harry Sounds (Paradise Lost) is a warrior and enigma of the Sydney underground dance music scene and has been running disco get downs in warehouses, studios & galleries for over 10 years. Inspired by the rhythmic intensity of afro dance music, he plays a selection spanning disco, synth boogie, italo, house and afro jazz funk obscurities. Sounds is a true party pilgrim and dance devotee. Uncompromised and deeply sythesised you just can't hold this man down. He kicks out the jazz funk boogie disco jams Friday nights on Boogie Dance Cafe, Eastside Radio (89.7FM).
Since forming his first electronic group as a teen in the early 80s, Paris Groovescooter has been on a never-ending quest for the most rubbery, funky-arsed bass riffs he can find. Everything it seems, revolves around bass and rhythm. After varying successes as a bassist in numerous bands, in the late-90s he turned his focus to production, running a label and DJing, the last landing him residencies at a number of Sydney clubs. www.groovescooter.com/djmixes
